It will consider how this document evolved within the context of its time and how it has served as an important model to the Christian life of faith and why this Confession centers Lutheran churches throughout the world. Course Developers

Gordon Jensen
Rev. Dr. Gordon Jensen served as the Professor of Reformation History and Theology and Academic Dean at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon for over 20 years. He served as a parish pastor for 14 years prior to teaching. He holds a PhD in historical theology from the University of Toronto, along with a MDiv from the Lutheran Theological Seminary and a BA from the University of Alberta. His primary research interests are Luther’s theology of the cross and its implications for parish ministry, Luther’s Catechisms, and the ecumenical implications of the 1536 Wittenberg Concord. He is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and serves as the official ELCIC observer on the Anglican Church of Canada-United Church of Canada dialogues.
